About Ora DJ Studio

A visual planning workspace for DJs who prepare their sets with intention.

Built for the part before the booth

Most DJ software is built around live playback: two decks, waveforms, effects, and a controller. That makes sense for performance. But the planning that happens before a gig — organizing the library, thinking through the set's arc, finding the right transitions — still happens in flat playlists, Apple Notes, and instinct.

Ora DJ Studio starts from a different job: planning the set. It is a visual workspace where DJs can organize tracks into chapters, explore connections on a canvas, rediscover their library, and rehearse with their controller — all before they step into the booth.

The problem we are solving

A great DJ set is not just a list of tracks. It has movement: a warm-up, a build, a peak, a reset, a closing moment. But the tools DJs use to plan have not kept up with how DJs actually think.

The result is a gap that most DJs know well:

  • Flat playlists that show track order but not set structure
  • Large libraries where great tracks get buried under recent imports
  • No way to visualize energy, BPM, key, or mood across a set
  • Planning and playing disconnected into separate phases
  • Notes, duplicated playlists, and memory filling the gap

Ora is built to close that gap.

What Ora does

Chapter-based set playlists. Break your set into named sections — warm-up, groove, peak, reset, closing, or your own structure. Plan the arc of your performance instead of a single flat list.

Visual track canvas. Map tracks by energy, BPM, key, genre, mood, or custom tags. See how your tracks connect, discover transition paths, and explore your library in a way that a scrolling list never reveals.

Library intelligence. Fast search, flexible filters, and custom tags designed around how DJs think about their music. The goal is to help you rediscover the tracks you forgot you had — not just the ones you imported last week.

Controller rehearsal. Connect your DJ controller and test transitions while you plan. Bring the hands-on feel of performance into the planning phase, so you can feel whether a combination works before you play it live.

Rekordbox import. Import your existing Rekordbox library and start planning from the playlists and tracks you already have. You do not need to abandon your current workflow. Ora works as a planning layer alongside Rekordbox, Serato, or Traktor.

Who it is for

Ora is built for DJs who prepare intentionally — who do not just load random tracks, but actively think about vibe, flow, energy arc, and transition moments before the gig.

  • Club DJs preparing USB or controller sets
  • House, techno, disco, and open-format DJs building 60–180 minute sets
  • Bedroom DJs who want to become more intentional about preparation
  • DJs with large libraries who struggle to rediscover forgotten tracks
  • Rekordbox users who want a better planning layer above their library
